Aurora Movie Theater Shooter Gets Brutal Introduction To Prison Life

Movie theater shooter James Holmes shot 82 people during a screening of the film, The Dark Knight Rises in 2012, in Aurora Colorado. Twelve people died as a result.

Now in prison, apparently some revenge has been taking out on Holmes as he has been assaulted in brutal fashion.

It all happened due to an apparent staff error. Holmes had been under strict guidelines to be separated from other inmates as to avoid any potential violent revenge situations from occurring. Obviously the climate was such where other inmates were looking for any available opportunity to beat the man down. Due to the staff error, one inmate saw the golden opportunity and proceeded to place a major beating on Holmes.

Mark Slim Daniels, a convicted car thief, briefly came into contact with Holmes due to the error. Slim realized the rarity of the situation and was not going to pass up the opportunity to beat the crap out of Holmes. Through a sliding gate, Slim teed off on Holmes head until he knocked him out cold.

Slim wrote an open letter to the public after the incident occurred. Heres what he had to say:

First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest condolences to all the victims and to the families.

Im so sorry I couldnt wipe him out and send him packing to Satans lake of fire. It was just impossible to do by myself with so many cops. I did get him six or seven good ones and this stupid a*s case manager ran out of her office and and put her head in front of Holmes cause I was about to knock him out. Thats why she got socked a few times.

Slim continues to detail the incident and speaks about how he injected complete and total fear into Holmes:

Once we were on the ground I looked in his eyes and he knew he came close with his demise. He was very scared. Im so sorry I couldnt finish him for you.

Slim is not facing any criminal charges as none have been filed at this time.

Meanwhile, Holmes is in the prison hospital recovering.
